This week, Natural Building Technologies were down in Bristol as part of The Green Register’s seminar on Retrofitting Internal Wall Insulation. Run in conjunction with the City of Bristol College, the event aimed to investigate a number of issues surrounding Internal Wall Insulation (IWI), such as:
- What the condensation risks associated with IWI are
- How we can avoid building in future problems such as interstitial condensation
- Which is better – natural or synthetic wall insulation?
- What are the options with solid wall buildings in conservation areas?
Matthew Wellesley Smith was on hand on behalf of NBT to give examples of practical experiences and present case studies of IWI which we have come across in the past. Look out for more conferences from The Green Register, and be sure to follow us on Twitter for news about upcoming events of which NBT will be in attendance.
