Pavaroof System

Pavatex Isolair

NBT Pavaroof system uses rigid, waterproof and breathable insulation boards. The boards are tongue and grooved on all edges, allowing for rapid and simple installation.

This modern method of construction is time proven, with Pavatex starting production of boards in 1932. The system is ideal for new build, refurbishment and use on historic buildings.

BREAAM Green Guide'A' rated, and made from waste FSC wood, Pavatex boards lock up more carbon than they cost to produce and are completely non-toxic.

Pavaroof is available for both pitched roofs (above 10* pitch) and flat roofs. We supply all fittings and accessories for the system.

Pavaroof Advantages

pavatex_insulation Pavaroof offers good insulation from cold. By over-cladding the roof structure, cold bridging is minimised, further improving insulation performance.
By using a water proof layer (either from Isolair or Pavatherm Plus boards) no membranes are needed, simplifying the build.

overheating control Pavatex woodfibre boards have a balance of insulation and thermal mass. This additional mass means that the increased heat and solar radiation is stored within the roof structure by day, and released at night. This'Decrement Delay' can be up to 12 hours, meaning that rooms under Pavaroof are on average 4 degrees cooler than other insulation systems.

pavatex_soundproofing The density and structure of the boards also offer significant sound-proofing. When combined with other insulations, a Pavaroof can offer significant reduction in sound transmission.
This is especially true when compared to very lightweight foam or multilayer systems, and can be very useful in high density housing or urban environments.

pavatex_fireproof Pavatex woodfibre boards are F90 fire rated, and independently tested by Warrington Fire.
In a fire situation, a layer of ash rapidly forms, inhibiting oxygen and deep burning, reducing the spread of flame. No toxic gases are produced by Pavatex.
Compared to mineral fibre insulation, ignition of other layers is delayed.

pavatex_breathable Like a roof membrane, Pavatex products are breathable (or'vapour open'). In conjunction with other vapour open and hygroscopic insulations, Pavaroof can help control the relative humidity of a room. This has significant health benefits, as well as reducing mould and mildew.
This breath-ability also helps protect the roof structure from decay, drawing away moisture from timbers and actively transporting it outwards, where it evaporates.

pavatex_sustainability Pavatex boards (like any insulation) can significantly reduce carbon emissions in buildings.
Extremely resistant to ageing, Pavatex are proven to last the lifespan of a building, unlike many other products.
The boards can be stored outside prior to construction, for 3 months, with no ill effects.
Any waste Pavatex products can be re-cycled, composted or used thermally for energy generation.

pavatex_ecology The boards are made from natural waste wood, from sustainable sources. In combination with efficient manufacturing this means that Pavatex boards are carbon negative - locking up more carbon than they cost to produce.
Pavatex boards have no toxins in them, reducing our exposure to many chemicals found in foam insulations.

Pitched and Flat systems
