NBT Sustainable Building Case Studies
NBT is involved in a wide range of projects: from the current wave of Building Schools for the Future,
to Housing Associations, private developers and self builders.
Below are some of the examples of the work we have been involved in. The projects also show
the flexibility of use that many of our products have.

Housing

The Stream Edge is a large, prestigious development close
to the centre of Oxford, which comprises 36 luxury apartments,
social and student housing along with retail and commercial
accommodation.

This was an extension of an existing 1930's bungalow. An extra floor was added, yet the energy
requirements to heat the building was reduced. Lightweight timber frame and Diffutherm was used
as well as Pavaroof.

from the early nineteenth century. The buildings were to
be extensively renovated and refurbished to the highest
standard to provide comfortable and contemporary office
accommodation.

The
building was designed to be low energy in use and this was
achieved by using high values of insulation in the walls and
