BBA Approval for NBT Pavatex Pavaroof System

Natural Building Technologies (NBT) Ltd's Pavaroof roofing systems have received BBA approval, confirming compliance with Building Regulations and longevity of in-use performance.

The certified high performance systems, incorporating Pavatex woodfibre boards, are ideally suited for pitched roofs. NBT roofing systems are a highly sustainable option created for use in either new build or existing roof constructions.

The systems offer exceptional overheating prevention control in addition to excellent thermal insulation properties, which is particularly important for areas of high occupancy such as schools, but can be equally important in regulating temperatures in rooms in the roof and other domestic loft spaces. The systems form a complete thermal shell, providing excellent levels of wind and air tightness, and virtually eliminate cold bridging.

The woodfibre boards enable the roof to breathe, which greatly reduces any risk to the building fabric. Also, through this prevention of moulds and condensation, the breathability of the building envelope can contribute to creating a healthier internal environment.

The system incorporates a water resistant interlocking woodfibre board, as well as insulation between and over the rafters, to provide the highest levels of thermal and acoustic insulation. Pavaroof Flat roofing systems are also available, consisting of square-edged woodfibre boards applied over decking which also provide excellent levels of insulation, while working to prevent overheating during warmer months. The NBT Flat roofing systems are suitable for all types of flat roofs, but excel in areas which demand high levels of acoustic protection and thermal regulation.
